All children will know they belong and they matter at home and at school.

Adults who support children have research backed tools to do so.

To achieve this, we coach parents and educators, facilitate workshops, and provide resources to have a lasting impact on the next generation’s character.

History

Our name draws inspiration from the Kahlil Gibran poem ‘On Parenting’ in The Prophet. Gibran’s metaphor of a bow and arrow beautifully captures the essence of the parent-child relationship. Parents, like bows, must bend to empower their arrows (children) to soar. This metaphor resonates deeply as parenting often pushes us to our limits, all in the name of our children’s well-being. Bowbend Consulting is here to encourage and empower parents, educators and communities to embrace the beautiful journey of bending their best.

Our Founder

Peyten Williams, the driving force behind Bowbend Consulting, is devoted to supporting parents on their growth journey. As a mother of three, she immerses herself in parenting literature to share valuable insights. With 16 years of experience administration and teaching middle and high school English, Peyten excels in leading discussions that spark inspiration and ensuring everyone feels heard. Her extensive background as a middle school administrator and instructional coach provides unique perspectives and empathy for teachers, parents, and students.

Currently steering Bowbend Consulting, Peyten shares her parenting wisdom through consulting, leading workshops, and writing. She also dedicates much of her time to her family.
